Arrests In Car Burglaries |

On Monday, August 11, 2008 at about 9:30 AM, the a Car burglary in
progress was reported. Responding 2nd District Detectives arrested
Jonanthan CONZALES, B/M 9-29-1990 (17) 4214 So. Prieur Street
After interview by Detectives, CONZALES admitted to five (5) more
burglaries committed with another perpetrator, all in the same area,
under items G-38118-08, G-20935-08, G-38593-08, and G-38124-08.
The second perpetrator was also subsequently arrested as well:
Adrian GREEN B/M 3-14-1988 (20) 4219 So. Rocheblave

Remember to report any suspicious persons or activities you see in

Home Burglaries in and around Broadmoor |

There have been reports of several home burglaries in and around Broadmoor over the past couple of weeks. Please be vigilant! Most of these break-ins happen in broad daylight. In one case, a Broadmoor homeowner was away from the home for only 90 minutes in the middle of the day. IF you see anything suspicious, please call 911. Trust your instincts. If you feel that something wrong is taking place, it probably is. Don't hesitate to call the police. Look out for your neighbors!

06-16-2008 2nd District Crime Report Bicycle Thefts |

On June 6, 2008, two bicycles were stolen in two seperate incidents;
one from St Charles & Marengo and another from the 3700 block of S
Saratoga. Due to a watchful citizen who observed the incident then
phoned police we were able to apprehend the two subjects and return
the bicycles to the owners.
Because the two apprehended subjects are juveniles the Police
Department is unable to release their names.
Call the police anytime you see anything suspicious in your
neighborhood.
To prevent bicycle thefts:
• Properly lock or secure the bicycle
• Keep the serial number of the bicycle and its paperwork in an easy
to find location
• Take pictures of the bicycle for identification purposes

+++ UPDATE +++ On March 5th – your 2nd District detectives arrested a KNOWN 15 year old male and obtained an arrest warrant for a KNOWN 16 year old female, in conjunction with the below mentioned carjacking. |

+++ Update +++ On March 4th detectives were able to identify the suspect responsible for the below listed murder of Michael Spencer. The suspect has been identified as Calvin Thomas (BM, 06-29-1988). An arrest warrant has been obtained for Thomas. Officers are currently searching for Thomas in an effort to arrest him for this murder. |
