SELA Landscaping
The Corps completed drainage improvements in the area in 2004. The landscaping was not completed at that time due to lack of funding, although plans were developed to do so. The Corps now has funding to complete the landscaping efforts and have been coordinating with the city, who also has plans to landscape other portions of S. Claiborne Avenue. Per the city's request, the Corps modified its plans in order to have a more cohesive look along S. Claiborne Avenue. It is the Corps intent to implement planting within the next couple of months. The landscape plans for Napoleon, S. Claiborne to Fontainebleau, and S. Claiborne, Nashville to Louisiana, can be viewed on the website (link below).
