February Neighborhood Meeting Agenda - 2/17

Join us on Monday, February 17th for our neighborhood meeting focused on addressing trash and blight in Broadmoor. This event is free and open to the public. It takes place at Broadmoor Community Church, 2021 S. Dupre St.

A catered dinner will be provided by Crazy Waffle Bar, featuring red cabbage with rice and smoked turkey

Free child care will be provided during the meeting by Crescent City Childcare Collective.

Meeting Agenda

6:30-7:00 pm: Dinner and neighborhood conversation featuring welcoming remarks from BIA Wellness Director Bethanie Mangigian and a short presentation about the New Links regional transit network redesign process, presented by Courtney Jackson of Ride New Orleans (10 minutes)

7:00-7:10 pm: Organizing neighborhood cleanups, presented by Talva Burnett from the Mayor’s Neighborhood Engagement Office

7:10-7:20 pm: The process for submitting blighted housing complaints, presented by the Department of Code Enforcement

7:20-7:30 pm: Understanding blighted property auctions and the Lot Next Door program, presented by the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority

7:30-8 pm: Community discussion about how to better address trash and blight in Broadmoor, facilitated by Bethanie Mangigian
