Statement on the Untimely Death of Mr. Reginald Field

Communications

The Broadmoor Improvement Association was disheartened to learn of the passing of a vibrant and vital community member, Mr. Reginald Field, on Saturday, May 25.

Mr. Field's service as Dean of Students at Andrew H. Wilson Charter School was stellar, and as echoed by InspireNOLA, his reach and impact extended beyond just his position and title. His commitment to education, children and families was absolute.

It is not only extremely sad but equally frustrating to lose an incredible person who cared for his students and for the Broadmoor community to reckless gun violence, which is becoming ever too familiar.

Please join us in remembering, honoring, and celebrating the life of Mr. Reginald Field. Updates regarding a memorial service on Saturday, June 1, will be available at the InspireNOLA website under news and announcements and on their social media soon: https://www.inspirenolacharterschools.org/apps/news/

Additionally, the Broadmoor Improvement Association is here to support all families, staff, and students affected by this tremendous loss. Individuals and families interested in speaking with a counselor are welcome to call the BIA to access pro-bono counseling services.  Our Lead Social Worker, Bethanie Mangigian, will also respond to inquiries by email at bethanie@broadmoorimprovement.com. For more information or referrals to help, please call our wellness team at 504-249-5130, extension 2000.
