Broadmoor Business Owners Support the Parcel Fee

The BIA spoke with Broadmoor business owner Jarret "Coach Jay" Spaulding about his gym Nola Muay Thai. Located at 3445 Toledano St in Broadmoor, Nola Muay Thai provides

instruction in a safe, fun, and friendly training environment for the community.

What is your name and how long have you been business owner in Broadmoor?

My name is Jarret "Coach Jay" Spaulding and I'm the owner of Nola Muay Thai and a proud life-long resident of New Orleans.  One of my absolute favorite things about being a resident in the community is that I have an opportunity to build authentic relationships with our youth and supply creative ways to help them not only cope but thrive here in there community and anywhere in the world. 

What's your favorite thing about being a business owner in Broadmoor?

I am proud to say since the launch of Nola Muay Thai, we have successfully improved the grades, focus, behavior, positive social interactions and confidence of our students. While there are so many more areas that our program positively effects our students, we really take pride in hearing from the parents how they have taken a sense of responsibility in the home as well. 

What was the last big achievement that was celebrated by your business and what upcoming news do you want to share with Broadmoor residents?

Although we are here in the community, we also served the residents and visitors of our beautiful state.  We aim to improve the quality of life of all who are part of our program, this is why we also serve the adults in the household as well with cardio and self-defense classes.

What has the Broadmoor improvement Association done to improve the quality of life for all Broadmoor residents in your opinion? 

Nola Muay Thai thanks the Broadmoor Improvement Association for its continued efforts and successful connections made between the community and its businesses.  Together we will continue to shine our light with a goal of illuminating all of our hidden treasures in Broadmoor.
