The meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, @ 5:00 p.m. at Norman Mayer Library: 3001 Gentilly Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70122
The City of New Orleans is partnering with the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans (SWBNO), the Housing Authority of New Orleans (HANO), the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority(NORA), Tulane University, and Loyola University to update the New Orleans Hazard Mitigation Action Plan (HMAP). This update will focus on addressing risks that impact the region. The update aims to reduce or remove the long-term dangers to people and property from known hazards through practical actions and strategies.
The City will host meetings where public input will help the planning team identify potential hazards for residents and suggest ways to lessen their impact. The City will host three public meetings throughout the planning process, and the second public meeting on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. will gather public input for the Hazard Mitigation Action Plan Update. We welcome the opportunity to get feedback from the public on planning.
