SpringMOOR 2025: A Celebration of Community and Connection

On Tuesday, May 6, Broadmoor came alive with music, color, and community spirit at SpringMOOR 2025, our annual spring festival and GiveNOLA Day celebration. Held on the lawn of the Rosa F. Keller Library, the event welcomed hundreds of neighbors for an evening full of joy, connection, and purpose.

The night kicked off with a show-stopping performance by the Andrew H. Wilson Charter School Band, featuring 100 student musicians proudly debuting their brand-new uniforms. Their energy set the stage for an unforgettable evening, which included beautiful live music from harpist Catherine Anderson, plus high-flying entertainment from stilt walkers, jugglers, aerial artists, and the ever-popular Bubble Lady Linda.

Guests got creative with a collaborative art banner, enjoyed delicious food, and joined in a community conversation about Broadmoor’s future. A key highlight of the evening was the wellness and resource area, led by our dedicated BIA counseling and social work interns. These interns provided valuable resources, offered guidance, and created space for attendees to connect with essential community services, contributing to the overall health and well-being of our neighborhood.

Refresh Physical Therapy also provided free on-site therapy sessions, giving attendees the chance to relax and learn more about physical wellness.

To keep everyone refreshed, Mockly generously provided a variety of delicious non-alcoholic beverages a perfect complement to the great food served up by Southern Flavors Food Group, Marco Polo Food Truck, and Kona Ice.

Thanks to the generosity of 32 donors, we raised $1,691 through our GiveNOLA Day campaign—just shy of our $2,000 goal. Every dollar supports the Broadmoor Improvement Association’s ongoing work, including mental health services, case management, community programs, and community-building events like this one.

We’re especially thankful for the support of our community partners Odyssey House Louisiana, RTA, and the Rosa F. Keller Library for helping make SpringMOOR possible.

SpringMOOR is more than a festival it’s a celebration of what makes Broadmoor so special: our people, our partnerships, and our shared vision for a thriving, connected neighborhood. Thank you to everyone who came out, supported, and celebrated with us!
